Welcome Back....
Hillgrove APHG Students,
Welcome back! There are a couple important information pieces to discuss prior to the semester beginning:
1. Make sure to go ahead and purchase Dan Brown's Inferno. We will be using it as an outside reading and will have 3 quizzes over it during the month of August. Your first quiz will be over Chapters 1-27 on August 9th.
2. Go ahead and sign up for the remind101. Use the following information:
-Coach Ellis Fall students/parents text @fallaphg to 81010
3. I would encourage you to go ahead and get ONE review book. These can be found at any book distributor like Amazon or Barnes and Noble. These will be a good supplement to information in class and are necessary for doing well on the AP Exam in the spring.

Ellis 4th Block Students....

I apologize for changing the ping schedule, but due to extenuating circumstances we are changing the ping schedule. It is listed on the board. I need three groups to volunteer to present Friday morning prior to school starting at 7:30. Please discuss this in class so we can make adjusments.

AP Exam Review....
Parents and Students,
The AP Exam is next Tuesday (May 14th). We are reviewing in class this entire week and next Monday. However we have developed the following schedule for students to follow on their own for review at home. We recommend looking at material for roughly 30 minutes a night.
Tuesday 5/7 - Unit 1
Wednesday 5/8 - Unit 2
Thursday 5/9 - Unit 3
Friday 5/10 - Unit 4
Saturday 5/11 - Unit 5
Sunday 5/12 - Unit 6
Monday 5/13 - Review needed information
If students have not already done so, purchasing the iscore5 app and also purchasing a review book to look at are valuable resources.

Latin America - Blue
Europe - Green
Sub Saharan Africa - Orange
North Africa and Middle East - Yellow
South Asia - Pink

Trend #1: A high LE = a low infant mortality rate.... and then an explanation as to why
Region Trend 1: Latin American countries have decreasing birth rates.... then an explanation as to why and what it implies about their development.
